Banff has a small, friendly, informal congregation, always pleased to welcome new people.
The Sunday service is at 11 a.m. It includes a Sunday School, where children of all ages are catered for.
Other activities, including weeknight fellowship and social events are announced week by week at the beginning of the service.
For the past nine years, and still ongoing, we have been following an extensive programme of renewal and development, both physical and spiritual. We have been able, under God, to transform the interior of the church. We have also installed electronic and projection equipment. Among other advantages, this enables us to sing with our heads up, rather than with noses buried in hymn books! The congregation forms a willing and active team when there is work to be done, and we are keen to use our building as a community resource.
We are Caring, Sharing and Growing, as our Mission Statement describes: We seek to ~
- maintain and develop a Christian witness and a Methodist presence in Banff
- support and care for one another as we endeavour to grow in the faith
- join with other Christians in Banff, for prayer, the building up of the Christian community and outreach work
- continually repair, improve and upgrade our building, so that it may be an effective, silent witness to God's presence in creation and a sign of His people's activity in the world
Banff Churches Together includes all five churches in Banff: Banff Parish Church; Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Catholic Church; St. Andrew's Scottish Episcopal Church; Riverside Christian Church; and Banff Methodist Church.
